Recipe description:

Sponge cupcakes with an English rose fondant topping mounted on a light buttercream icing. Made with the assistance of chef Arthur aged 4.

  • Self raising flour
  • Sugar
  • Butter
  • Egg
  • Icing sugar
  • Fondant
  • Step 1

    Mix sugar, flour and eggs together with a drop of vanilla essence
  • Step 2

    Divide between cases and bake until cooked through and golden on top
  • Step 3

    Meanwhile mix butter with icing sugar and mould roses from fondant
  • Step 4

    Once cakes cooled... assemble!
